The first cookbook

The main cook of king Charles V Guillaume Tirelem in 1375 to France in one copy had been wrote the first cookbook.

In 1742 there was to year a first recipe-book in the USA. It was the republished English book "Full cookbook the housewife". In 1798 Amelia Simmone's purely American cookbook which was called "American cuisine" is let out.


In 1816 in Russia, in Moscow the first has been published national cookbook under the name "Russian повария". Earlier in Russia were issued only translated cookbook. To preservation of recipes of ancient Russian dishes we more all is obliged to the Russian scientist of the end of a XVIII-th century V.A.Levshin (1746—1826) which name is immortalized by A.S.Pushkin in "Evgenii Onegine". There (the note to VII head) Pushkin named its writer by an economic part. Levshin has collected remained in the people since pre-Pertine times recipes of ancient Russian spices and has published them in cookbook «Russian cookbook»
